Yes, I was always the painter shunning magnifying visors, lights, and anything to make life easier. I used to paint eyes with a No 2 brush, mock non-GW miniatures, and generally make life hard on myself. It was a different time. I wore a red shirt, spent the better part of my work week painting, and all of this was a badge of honor. Fast forward 10 years, and here I am, painting with a combination of Vallejo and craft paints, using a variety of fine detail brushes, and most recently (and happily) a big ass magnifying light. And yesterday I learned something fun. One Layer of Vallejo Dark Fleshtone, one layer of GW Tallarn Flesh, and one layer of Vallejo Cadmium Skin equals quick, easy, and damn nice looking skin.

Check out my almost complete German, it's the first of a batch of two dozen that will be up for sale when all is said and done. I haven't a clue as to what to ask for these. All that I know is that it's a lot of work and love going into them, I hope their new owner will appreciate it!
